Early life

Lipi Monoar was born in 1st October, Gopalgonj in Bangladesh (then East Pakistan). Full name Nazmul Ferdous Lipi. Her father, Mahbubur Rahman Khan (1921-2010) , was a Government officer and a great freedom fighter during the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971, Her mother Mrs. Amena begum Sarah (1929-2010) , was an ideal house wife. She was interested in writing from her childhood. Education and early career Lipi Monoar went to many schools in , Dinajpur, Jessor, Patuakhali, Comilla, and Rajbari as her father lived in many places upon official assignment. She passed the School Certificate(SSC in Science Group) Examination as a student of Rajbari Govt. Girls high School in 1980. Later she was admitted to the Rajbari Govt. College, Rajbari and Badrunnesa govt girls college , Dhaka. She passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science Group ( Intermediate Examination) in 1982. She initially planned to study in Bengali in University of Rajshahi and got admitted into the Rajshahi University. But suddenly changed her mind. She passed both BA (Honors) in ‘Bengali Language and Literature’ and MA in to the Dhaka University. She jointed as a Lecturer in the Stamford college Dhaka. At that time she passed LLB in the National University. She was a former Lecturer of Stamford College and SABM college of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She leaved as a teacher around mid 1998s to devote all her time to writing and production of Drama. The publication of her first poem in "Ekushe Journal" when she was a student of class eight in school 1978 . Her first stage drama was played 1979. The publication of her first children’s book "Ful Kannya" in 2004, and first novel "Nisorgo Nilimay" in 2005 . Her first TV drama "Elish" on aired on Bangladesh Television in 2003. Lipi Monoar also wrote songs for few of her own Dramas.
Marriage In 1990, 8th June Lipi Monoar married Mr. Monoar Hossain Pathan, a businessman and a media personality of Bangladesh. He is a CEO of Prionty Edit & effects. She has one daughters named Prionty and one son named Promit.
